
This pattern will guide you through crocheting a pair of simple and cozy slippers. These slippers are worked in rows and then seamed, making them beginner-friendly.
Materials:
- Approximately 200 yards of worsted weight yarn
- Size H/8 (5.0 mm) crochet hook
- Yarn needle
- Scissors
- Stitch markers (optional)
Gauge:
- 4” = 14 single crochet and 16 rows
Abbreviations:
- ch = chain
- sc = single crochet
- hdc = half double crochet
- sl st = slip stitch
- st(s) = stitch(es)
- blo = back loop only
- flo = front loop only
- inc = increase (2 sc in the same stitch)
- dec = decrease (single crochet two stitches together)
Sizes:
- Small: US Women’s 5-6
- Medium: US Women’s 7-8
- Large: US Women’s 9-10
Note: Pattern is written for size Small. Changes for Medium are in ( ), and Large are in [ ].

Sole (Make 2):
- Foundation Chain: Ch 11 (12, 13).
- Row 1: Sc in the 2nd ch from the hook and in each ch across. (10, 11, 12 sc)
- Row 2: Ch 1, turn. 2 sc in the first st, sc in the next 8 (9, 10) sts, 2 sc in the last st. (12, 13, 14 sc)
- Row 3: Ch 1, turn. 2 sc in the first st, sc in the next 10 (11, 12) sts, 2 sc in the last st. (14, 15, 16 sc)
- Rows 4-10 (12, 14): Ch 1, turn. Sc in each st across.
- Row 11 (13, 15): Ch 1, turn. Sc in the first 4 (5, 6) sts, dec, sc in the next 4 (4, 4) sts, dec, sc in the last 4 (5, 6) sts. (12, 13, 14 sc)
- Row 12 (14, 16): Ch 1, turn. Sc in the first 3 (4, 5) sts, dec, sc in the next 4 (4, 4) sts, dec, sc in the last 3 (4, 5) sts. (10, 11, 12 sc)
- Row 13 (15, 17): Ch 1, turn. Sc in the first 2 (3, 4) sts, dec, sc in the next 4 (4, 4) sts, dec, sc in the last 2 (3, 4) sts. (8, 9, 10 sc) Fasten off, leaving a long tail for seaming.
Upper (Make 2):
- Foundation Chain: Ch 21 (23, 25).
- Row 1: Hdc in the 3rd ch from the hook and in each ch across. (20, 22, 24 hdc)
- Row 2: Ch 2 (counts as hdc), turn. Hdc in each st across.
- Rows 3-14 (16, 18): Repeat Row 2. Fasten off, leaving a long tail for seaming.

Assembly:
- Seaming the Sole: With the wrong side facing out, fold the sole in half lengthwise. Using the long tail, seam the heel closed using a mattress stitch or your preferred seaming method.
- Attaching the Upper:
- Place the heel of the sole at the center back of the upper.
- With the wrong side of the upper facing out, sew the upper to the sole, starting at the center back and working towards the toe. Use a mattress stitch or your preferred seaming method.
- Repeat on the other side.
- Finishing: Weave in all loose ends securely. Turn the slippers right side out.
Optional Embellishments:
- Add a border around the ankle opening with a contrasting color.
- Sew on buttons, bows, or other decorative elements.
- Embroider a design on the upper.
- Attach non-slip grips to the soles.
