
This pattern provides instructions for knitting a basic pair of baby shoes. You can customize them with different colors, yarns, and embellishments.

Materials:

Gauge:
Gauge is not critical for this project, but approximately 5-6 stitches per inch in garter stitch is a good starting point.
Abbreviations:
- K: Knit
- P: Purl

- K2tog: Knit two stitches together
- SSK: Slip, slip, knit
- YO: Yarn over
Basic Pattern:
Cuff:
- Cast on 25-30 sts.
- Work in K1, P1 ribbing for 4-6 rows.

Foot:
- Knit 1 row.
- Knit 1 row.
- Knit 1 row.
- Knit 1 row.
- Knit 1 row.
- Knit 1 row.
- Knit 1 row.
- Knit 1 row.

Shape the Toe:
- Knit to the last 4 sts, K2tog, K2.
- Knit 1 row.
- Knit 2, SSK, knit to end.
- Knit 1 row.
- Repeat steps 1-4 until 10-12 sts remain.

Finishing:
- Cut yarn, leaving a long tail.
- Draw the tail through the remaining sts and pull tight.
- Seam the sole of the shoe.
- Seam the heel of the shoe.
- If desired, attach buttons or other embellishments to the cuff.
- Weave in all loose ends.
