- Designed for newborn to 3 months (approx. 3–3.5″ foot length). Adjust starting chain for larger babies.

Sole – Make 2
- Rnd 1: ch 11. Sc in 2nd ch from hook and each across (10), then work 3 sc in last ch. Continue on opposite side of chain: sc across (10), 2 sc in corner = 25 sts.
- Rnd 2: ch 1, 2 sc in corner st, sc across 10, (sc, hdc, dc, hdc, sc) in tip stitch, sc across 10, 2 sc in corner, sl st to join. (27 sts)
- Rnd 3: ch 1, sc in same, sc across 11, (sc, hdc, dc, hdc, sc) in tip st, sc across 11, 2 sc in starting corner, sl st to join. (29 sts)
- Finish off.
Upper – First Half (forefoot to toe)
- Rnd 1: With RS out, attach yarn at one side of center back of sole. ch 1, sc evenly around front 17 sts of the sole edge, sl st to join.
- Rnd 2–3: ch 1, sc in each sc.
- Rnd 4: ch 1, sc, ch 1, sc in each st around to create an airy lattice.
- Finish off.
Upper – Heel Cap
- Rejoin yarn at center back of heel, ch 1.
- Row 1: sc 7 sts up back edge. ch 1, turn.
- Rows 2–4: sc across 7 sts.
- Row 5 (shaping): sc 2, hdc 3, sc 2.
- Finish off, weave ends.
Petal Trim
This adds a delicate bootie-flower effect along the front opening.
- Rejoin yarn at corner of lattice row near sole. Ch 3, sl st into each lattice ch‑1 space across (about 8 petals).
- Finish off, weave ends.
Strap (optional but cute)
- Rejoin at side, ch 25 (or desired strap length), sl st to opposite side.
- Or make a ch 8 loop on one side and attach a small button.
