NEW VERY EASY CROCHET SQUARE MODEL | Video tutorial

let’s crochet a beautiful flower square!

Materials:

• Yarn in your chosen flower and background colors.
• Crochet hook (size appropriate for your yarn).
• Scissors.
• Yarn needle.

Flower Center:

1. With your flower color, chain 4, then slip stitch into the first chain to form a ring.
2. Chain 1, work 10 single crochets into the ring, then slip stitch into the first single crochet.

Flower Petals:

1. Chain 4, skip the next single crochet, and slip stitch into the following single crochet.
2. Repeat this (chain 4, skip, slip stitch) 4 more times, creating 5 chain-4 loops.
3. In each chain-4 loop, work the following: single crochet, half double crochet, 3 double crochets, half double crochet, and single crochet.
4. Slip stitch into the first slip stitch of the round to finish the flower.

Square Shaping:

1. Change to your background color. Slip stitch into any single crochet of a petal.
2. Chain 1, single crochet in the same stitch. Chain 5, skip the next 3 stitches of the petal, and single crochet in the stitch between the petals. Repeat this 3 more times, then chain 5, and slip stitch into the first single crochet of the round.
3. Slip stitch into the first chain-5 loop. Chain 1, and in the same loop, work (single crochet, half double crochet, 3 double crochets, half double crochet, single crochet). Chain 1, and repeat this sequence in each of the remaining 4 chain-5 loops. Chain 1, and slip stitch into the first single crochet of the round.
4. Slip stitch into the next half double crochet. Chain 1, single crochet in the same stitch. Then work: half double crochet in the next double crochet, double crochet in the next double crochet, treble crochet in the next double crochet, double crochet in the next half double crochet, single crochet in the next single crochet, chain 2. Repeat this sequence 3 more times, then work the remaining half double crochets, double crochets, treble crochets, double crochets, single crochet, and chain 2. Slip stitch into the first single crochet.
5. Slip stitch into the next half double crochet. Chain 1, single crochet in the same stitch. 7. Slip stitch into next hdc. Ch 1, sc in same st. Hdc in next dc, dc in next hdc, sc in next sc repeat until corner. In corner tr, ch3, tr. *repeat from the start until the end of the round. sl st into the first sc.
8. Continue increasing the size of your square by adding rounds of single crochet, half double crochet, and double crochet, placing (treble crochet, chain 3, treble crochet) in each corner. Repeat this until your square reaches the desired size.
