
Crochet Pattern: Exquisite Floral Square
This pattern creates a beautiful square with a central raised flower motif.
Materials:
- Worsted weight yarn in multiple colors (e.g., flower center, petals, background, border)

Abbreviations:
- ch: chain
- sc: single crochet
- hdc: half double crochet
- dc: double crochet

- pc: popcorn stitch (5 dc in same st, drop loop, insert hook in first dc, pull loop through)

Pattern:
Flower Center (Color A):
- Magic Ring: Ch 2, 10 hdc into the ring, sl st to first hdc. (10 hdc)
- Ch 1, pc in each st around, sl st to first pc. (10 pc) Fasten off Color A.
Petals (Color B):
- Join Color B in any pc. Ch 1, (dc, tr, dc) in the same st.
- Sk the next pc, (dc, tr, dc) in the next pc.
- Rep around, sl st to the first dc. (5 petals) Fasten off Color B.
Square Background (Color C):
- Join Color C in the center tr of any petal. Ch 1, (2 hdc, ch 2, 2 hdc) in the same tr.
- Hdc in the next dc, hdc in the next dc, (2 hdc, ch 2, 2 hdc) in the next tr. Rep from * to * 3 times, sl st to the first hdc.
- Ch 1, hdc in each hdc until the ch 2 sp, (2 hdc, ch 2, 2 hdc) in the ch 2 sp. Rep from * to * 3 times, hdc in each remaining hdc, sl st to first hdc.
- Rep step 3, increasing the amount of hdc between the corner ch 2 spaces each round, until the square reaches the desired size. You can add more rows to make the square larger. Fasten off Color C.

Border (Color D):
- Join Color D in any corner ch 2 sp. Ch 1, (sc, ch 2, sc) in the same sp.
- Sc in each st until the next corner ch 2 sp, (sc, ch 2, sc) in the corner sp. Rep from * to * 3 times, sl st to the first sc.
- Ch 1, Sc in each st until the next corner ch 2 sp, (sc, ch 2, sc) in the corner sp. Rep from * to * 3 times, Sc in each remaining stitch.
- Repeat step 3 for a thicker border. Fasten off Color D.
- Weave in all ends.
